What happens to the details you give us on livestandard.co.uk, in plain English.

Last updated 7 October 2026

The short version

  • LiveStandard is responsible for your details, and you can reach us at hello@livestandard.co.uk.
  • We only keep what you type into our forms, plus when and where it was sent from.
  • We use it to reply to you and tell you about the launch. We never sell it.
  • Analytics cookies are only set if you choose Accept.
  • You can ask us to show, change or delete your details at any time.

What we collect

When you join the waiting list, ask for a demo, ask about setup or send us a message, we keep what you type into the form: your name, email address, garage or business name, team size, industry, phone number if you give one, what you asked about and your message. We also record the date and time you sent it and the internet (IP) address it came from, which helps us spot spam.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to you, to tell you when your place opens and to send the occasional update about the launch. We rely on your request, and on our legitimate interest in answering it, to do this. We don't sell your details, and we don't use them for advertising.

Where it goes

Your form is saved on our own server and emailed to the two people who run LiveStandard, so they can reply. If you join the waiting list, we also send you a one-off email to confirm you are on it. These emails are sent through Brevo, our email provider. The site runs behind Cloudflare, which carries the traffic and protects the site from attacks.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while the waiting list and launch are running, or until you ask us to remove them. To come off the list or have your details deleted, email hello@livestandard.co.uk and we'll do it.

Cookies and analytics

We only use cookies if you say yes. When you first visit, we ask whether we can use Google Analytics, which sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to count visits and see which pages are read. If you choose Reject, or don't answer, Google Analytics isn't loaded at all. You can change your answer any time from Cookie settings.

If you accept, Google receives details about your visit, such as the pages you view, your browser and device, and your approximate location. Google Analytics doesn't store your full IP address. Google provides this service to us and may process the data outside the UK under its own safeguards.

Your browser also keeps two small settings on your device: that you've been past the waiting-list screen, and your cookie answer. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, delete them or object to how we use them. Email us and we'll respond within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
